- Кажи, кажи, облаче ле бело,- Kaži, kaži, oblače le belo,Tell me, tell me, white little cloud,
кај си било, што си невесело?kaj si bilo, što si neveselo?where have you been, why are you so sad?
Дал' го виде мојто родно село,Dal' go vide mojto rodno selo,Did you see my native village,
дал' ја слушна мајка ми што збори?dal' ja slušna majka mi što zbori?did you hear what my mother says?
- Јас го видов твојто родно село- Jas go vidov tvojto rodno seloI saw your native village,
и ја слушнав мајка ти што збори:i ja slušnav majka ti što zbori:and I heard your mother speaking:

да се вратам, мајка да си видам.da se vratam, majka da si vidam.to return home and see my mother.
Ден ќе дојде дома да се вратам,Den ḱe dojde doma da se vratam,A day will come when I return home,
да се вратам, либе да прегрнам.da se vratam, libe da pregrnam.to return home and embrace my beloved.
